Tips to Climb the Mountain in the Rainy Season

Tips to climb the mountain in the rainy season

Those who really like climbing a mountain, usually do not care about the dry season or rainy season, the foot feels gatel to reach the top :)

Well, let me stay safe and comfortable in climbing in the rainy season, here are some tips that hopefully can help friends all:

1. Always carry a dry change of clothes

simple tips, but it surprised yesterday when someone forgot to bring dry clothes and forced to spend the night with wet clothes ... (ngelirik next: D)
Abstinence weight ya! The weather was not too cold, if passed with wet clothes, will directly interact with the body and lowers the temperature of our body. It's become a kind of cooperation between the severely decreased body temperature, cold weather, plus the wind that usually so complementary accessory weather in the rainy season

2. Wrap all with plastic

Never events, preferring to secure agar2 friend rather than a sleeping bag (ngelirik door again hehehe) in the sense that, agar2 wrapped in plastic, while sleeping bag instead left alone ... As a result, when exposed to wet bag, sleeping bag so flooded, while agar2 fixed Dry: D
In the rainy season, let me not useless bring the clothes closet, still need to be protected by plastic to avoid getting wet when it rains.

3. Use the shoes, not sandals

Rain = mud
Wear sandals when muddy = breaking
Mount = no stalls to buy sandals dressing

simple equation: D Hopefully easily understood yaaa hehehe

4. Use poncho raincoat instead

Although equally waterproof poncho leaving space between the body so that the body's poncho coat can keep warm. While raincoat stuck in the body and potentially absorb body heat. Moreover, the experience so far anyway, raincoat if the storm for hours, usually translucent also to dress the part. So if by ane anyway, it is safer to use than a raincoat poncho.

5. Do not over-exert yourself

Storms, landslides, fallen trees, the potential for lightning strikes, only some of the potential dangers of climbing when heavy rain. If you feel uncertain about travel safety, better not to push yourself. Always ask residents about security-related journey. Each mountain usually has its own characteristics, so can not use the 'experience' in another mountain to feel uncertain about the security of the mountain are going to live today

6. Use the climbing sticks

Slippery ground while climbing can be overcome with a climbing stick (or a nearby wood beside you. In essence, this is a tool to maintain balance when passing lanes slippery when exposed to rain.

7. Always flexible

Usually from the beginning of the climb, we had a picture will open the tent in the post / shelter where. But the wet weather conditions, always flexible in the itinerary! If the weather is getting worse, fog began to fall, the agency began to wet, it is advisable to just open the hood while waiting for the weather to improve. More practical advice is probably always carry flysheet or poncho large so that it can be used as a bivouac quickly.

8. Bring water absorbent

To simplify the process of drying wet shoes, the inside of the tent, or anything that needs to be drained, it is advisable to carry water absorbent materials. So if for example we leaky tents because they have no flysheet and purchased at the nearest mini market with the lowest possible price (sarcastically yourself: D: D), we can easily restore comfort and dryness goods bahan2 us with the water absorbent.

Ok, maybe that first simple tips from us, Indonesian Mountains :) May be useful ...
